adff6eae5c ds55 hosts (research class, 8 October 2026): the CUDA worker and the OpenCL host size the dataset by the pack's word count (IGNEUM_DATASET_WORDS and IGNEUM_DATASET_ITEMS from program.h when present, 1 << IGNEUM_DATASET_LOG2 when absent, so every existing pack runs as before), build words / 16 items, and the OpenCL bench's random points go through the pack's own index mapping; the ready, check and summary lines name the count when it is not a power of two; packfile.h refuses a count off the 2^16 grid or a mulshift flag that contradicts it; known-failed test first (emu/packfile-test.c: the old reader sized the 5.5 GiB pack at 2^30 words) 
Pack reader test on igneum-build-1 (emu/packfile-test.sh): 0 failure(s); the new case failed to compile against the old reader (no datasetWords).
Linux workers built on igneum-build-1 (tools/workers-remote.sh, class rig, glibc 2.17 ceiling): igneum-worker-cuda sha256 d43be462..., igneum-worker-opencl 214b0273...
Windows workers cross-built on igneum-build-1 (mingw-w64, -Wl,--no-insert-timestamp): igneum-worker-cuda.exe baf66678..., igneum-worker-opencl.exe edafc091...

905c10b836 ds55 (research class, 8 October 2026): a non-power-of-two dataset for the class v3 program through --dataset-words N (2^28 ..= 2^31, a multiple of 2^16); every load address is the multiply-shift range reduction of spec 01 section 1.13.3, idx = (src * N) >> 32 in 64 bits, in the CPU verifier, the CUDA, OpenCL and Metal texts and the self-test vectors; the era window composes in the source space; program.json records dataset.words, bytes, items, mode and the mapping text; the power-of-two path is byte for byte what it was and a power of two through --dataset-words is the --dataset-log2 path; known-failed tests first (tests/ds55.rs) 
No consensus object moves. The cache stays 2^26 words; the item index stays 32-bit.

Suite on igneum-build-1 (cargo test --release, the exact sources of this commit):
build-remote: RESULT rc=0 secs=197 compiles=39 class=ok; 124 passed, 0 failed, 7 ignored (ds55: 5 of 5).
The known-failed run before the feature: RESULT rc=101 class=compile-error (tests/ds55.rs against the old crate).

f99b9a56bc W = 8 (the floor programme, 8 October 2026, a research class): the w32 load class reads 8 words a load (one 32-byte sector) through a wide8 flag on the class, the width set [1, 8, 16] for that class only; the generator's draw, the mean bytes, the width counts, the era widest and the emitter's wide load take it; every other class unchanged; known-failed test first

e41d38c908 Bench table: the RX 9070 XT row takes the AMD knob grid (job run-ca3-pc1-amd-grid-9070-20261008-b, 24 points, 8 October 2026): 18.96 MH/s at 149.3 W at core -500 MHz and power -30 percent with the 0.3.25 knob, 0.127 MH per watt, a 24 percent saving at the same rate against 195.8 W stock; the note names the 5090's lock and knee points it compares against; /miners and /income rebuilt

417275f439 Kill-proof gates (main's order, 8 October 2026, 12:5x UK): a unique process title and a pid file per gate and merge run; kills by pid file only, enforced by the kill-by-name check 
Twice today a merge gate died to signal 15 from another lane's kill pattern (12:4x UK, and the three-node script's self-kill at 10:05 was the same class). The sender cannot be read after the fact (no process accounting on the Mac, nothing in the unified log, a trap sees no sender), so the class is closed by rule: tools/ci/pre-push.sh re-execs under the title igneum-gate:<pid>-<start> and writes "<pid> <start> <mode> <title>" to .git/igneum-gate.pid under the worktree (removed at exit); tools/ci/merge-to-master.sh the same with igneum-merge:<pid>-<start> and .git/igneum-merge.pid; a gate or a merge run is stopped by `kill "$(cut -d' ' -f1 <that file>)"` and never by a name. tools/ci/kill-by-name-check.sh rule 4 (in the gate on every push): killall with any pattern, and pkill/pgrep (with or without -f or -x, bracketed or not) on a generic tool or a gate's name (bash, sh, zsh, node, cargo, python, ssh, git, perl, gate, igneum, pre-push, merge-to-master, build-remote, remote-run, igneum-gate, igneum-merge) are red; pkill -F <pidfile>, pkill -P <pid> and a daemon's own binary under -x stay allowed. Known-failed first: eight new banned shapes and four allowed ones in the self-test; the gate's self-test holds a gate open and reads its title and pid file, then sees the file gone.
