7eed16a29a Pre-public scrub, the text pass (7 October 2026, 19:5x UK): no founder name, personal login, earlier business or personal address in any tracked text file, and a gate check that keeps it so
The sweep (main's item 1): 199 tracked text files, 783 lines. The founder's full name, first name and possessive become "the founder" (sentence starts capitalised); the lowercase operating-system user name in WSL paths and commands becomes <user>; the second owner login becomes "the second owner login"; the three earlier businesses and the two other brands become "the other business", "the earlier entity", "the earlier business" and "another brand"; the Chrome profile rule names the igneum.network profile, not the profile's label. The standing commit login igneum-labs is not a founder term here: the fresh-repository step renames it in the history (docs/plans/history-rewrite.md, tools/repo/fresh-repo.sh).

The patterns never appear in plain text in the tree (a plaintext list would be the hit): tools/ci/founder-strings.b64 (perl regex, tab, a sample per row) is read by tools/ci/founder-strings-check.sh (every tracked text file, perl, known-failed first: the self-test plants each row's sample in a fixture and the hit must name the file), by tools/community/discord-hooks.mjs (the guard's founder and business rows; the test takes its fixtures from the samples) and by tools/repo/fresh-repo.sh (the business names of the rewrite rules). site/forbidden-strings.txt carries the same patterns as b64: lines, decoded case-insensitive by site/scrub.mjs and tools/ci/launch-gates-check.mjs (whose fixture now plants an encoded made-up name). The check runs in the gate's tree checks on every merge.

Not in this commit, by main's word: the 105 commit messages and 40 personal-identity commits that need the history rewrite (listed, not run), and the secrets found by gitleaks over the history (reported with owners).

20d91af7a4 Difficulty v2: Hetzner rehearsal passed (12 nodes, one chain through N + 600), binaries for every platform, the devnet rollout plan
rollout-v2.sh stages the Linux igneumd (gateways from the Mac, private nodes from their gateway), rolls one node at a time with
difficulty_v2_activation_daa in every override file, checks the common chain and watches the height; results/2026-10-04/
rollout-v2*.log and v2/ (the hash-rate step under v2 and the v1 comparison). docs/plans/difficulty-v2-rollout-devnet.md: the
binaries and their sha256, the activation rule (N = DAA at publish + 10,800; baked at the cut as DAA + 14,400), the exact
restart lines for the observer node, the seed and Mac node 1, the OTA path for the two PCs through NODE_OVERRIDE_PARAMS in
packaged-config.sh (the engine side landed in 0dd587d), the rehearsal record. Bench-log entry.

53cb492de3 Cloud devnet: two Singapore partitions and the hash-rate steps on the 12-node network, results and bench-log entry
partition.sh adapted to private-network mode: the cut sits on the region's gateway (INPUT, OUTPUT and FORWARD
against the far gateways' public IPs over 26611 and the DNAT ports 27001:27099), since a per-node port-26611 rule
leaves the DNAT links up. It now records the locks per side at cut, during, at heal and after convergence, the
first lock after the heal from the journals, and the heal time as each minority node's first chain removal of 5+
blocks (the sink-count criterion is tip churn on a healthy network). hop.sh and partition.sh hold the Mac awake
with caffeinate; analyze.py gains a 10-s hop series (difficulty, block count, 1- and 2-min rates, threads) and an
overshoot table; collect.sh writes hop-series.tsv and hop.md and gzips the journals.

Results 2026-10-04: partition 1 (window still filling) reorg 431/496 on the minority, 2 on the majority, healed in
10 and 14 s; partition 2 (locks active): minority locked nothing during the cut, majority locked every interval at
66.8% to 84.5% of total, 0 conflicting locks over 107 indices, healed in 11 and 15 s, first lock after heal 13 s.
Hash-rate steps x1.42, x0.70, x0.75, x1.32: difficulty overshoots x1.67, x0.66, x0.53, x1.60, settle 751 s,
never in 900 s, 241 s, 646 s. Failures stated in summary.md: the Mac hibernated during the hop (phase 2 ran 94
min), the first partition could not see locks, the script's heal and first-lock figures were artefacts (fixed),
and another agent's v2 rollout restarted every node during the second heal.

4574890602 Cloud devnet: private-network mode (4 zone networks, 4 gateways), 12 nodes up, first latency measurement
A new Hetzner account is capped at 10 primary IPs (IPv4 and IPv6 both count), 20 shared vCPUs, 8 dedicated
vCPUs and no Arm, and a network cannot span zones. So: one private network per zone (10.20.<zone>.0/24),
the lowest-index node of each zone keeps a public IPv4 and is its gateway (NAT, MSS clamp, one DNAT port
27000+index per private node, persisted as igneum-nat.service), every other node has no public address.
nodes.tsv gains access, pub and port columns; lib resolves same-zone vs cross-zone dial addresses and jumps
ssh through the gateway for private nodes. All nodes.tsv loops read on fd 3 (a backgrounded ssh drained the
file). TYPE_BY_INDEX puts nodes 8 to 11 on ccx13; node 12 is the last shared one the account allows.
create.sh prints the plan's cost from the live API. provision.sh install takes node names and skips binaries
whose sha256 matches. Binaries copied from the seed's staged v4 build (same sources), no vCPU for a builder.

Results 2026-10-04: RTT matrix (hel1-fsn1 35 ms, ash-sin 289 ms) and a 10-minute propagation window of 644
blocks: p50 343 ms, p90 497 ms, p99 666 ms across 12 nodes in 5 locations.

d29016d576 Linux cross-compile from the Mac: cargo-zigbuild for x86_64 glibc 2.36, BIN_SOURCE=mac in provision.sh and stage-v4.sh
infra/cross/build-linux.sh builds igneumd and igneum-miner for x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu.2.36 (Debian 12) with
cargo-zigbuild 0.23.4 and zig 0.17.0 into vendor/igneum-node/target-linux: rocksdb, lz4, blst, secp256k1 and the
execution layer all link through zig, no crate failed (Docker is absent here, so cross was not needed). Cold build
1,856 s at 4 jobs, nice 19, on a loaded Mac; the seed's own build took 55 min and the builder VM 10 to 25.
Verified on igneum-seed-1 in /root/xbuild-test: igneumd --version, igneum-miner --help, and a 60-s private
network with real proof of work where the cross-compiled miner found 7 blocks that the cross-compiled node
accepted (0 rejected). /opt/igneum/v4/bin untouched.

BIN_SOURCE=mac: provision.sh skips the builder VM and takes build/bin from the cross-compile; stage-v4.sh
cross-compiles, uploads to /root/v4/out and installs exactly as a VM build would.

74e7c2bdf5 seed-nodes: igneum-seed-1 live and synced; relay path from the Mac; prices in the account's currency (USD)
igneum-seed-1 (Hetzner cx23, fsn1, 188.245.5.161:26611): built on the VM in 1,530 s, synced to the live devnet
(12,204 blocks, same sink as the live node) through a non-mining relay igneumd on the Mac (the live node's addPeer
RPC is refused in safe mode); the live node and the Windows PC learned the seed's address by peer exchange and dialled
it. seeds.txt written. Hetzner prices corrected to USD (pricing API currency) in the plans, READMEs and scripts;
current-generation types per location (cx23 EU, cpx22 sin, cpx21 US) in the cloud-devnet config.
