The sweep renders every served page in a headless Chromium at 390, 768, 1024, 1280 and 1600 in light and dark (the hero at rest and at each step), reads every visible run of text and flags text covered by another element, clipped by overflow hidden, or past the viewport; a fixture with one deliberate overlap of each kind is flagged before any sweep is trusted. It runs on a build box when this machine has no browser (infra/build-server/overlap-browser.sh installs Chromium there without root).

the project lead: "a site now what is on par with our current miner and wallet app look and feel with the new animation ... simple and
beautiful ... apple and windows icons everywhere needed, GPU brand icons ... easy access to all of our pages without a header
that is crazy".
- site.css section 10: the miner and wallet apps' treatments (app.css miner-ui-5, wallet-0.1.5) over the package: buttons
(Plex Sans 600, radius 10), the status pill, graphite cards at 16 and rows at 12 on the hairline, the wallet lock screen's
ember glow, the mark wells; the fourteen palette tokens stay in the scene-tokens block (scene/tokens.css); light and dark.
- Navigation: the seven-item header is gone. The slim bar carries the mark, a DEVNET pill with the live dot, Mine / Network /
Learn (each opens a panel listing every route of its group with one line), the theme toggle and Download; on phones one
button opens a full-screen sheet with the same groups. Keyboard: arrows between groups, Escape closes and returns focus,
Tab walks a panel, the sheet is a dialog with its focus kept. The gate's header check is the new rule
(tools/ci/site-nav-check.mjs: the bar, the three groups with their aria, 18 routes in the panels and the sheet with their
descriptions, Download, the burger; self-test known-failed first).
- Home: one fold. The mark on the ember glow, one line, Download for Windows and Download for macOS with the OS glyphs and the
stamped version (the visitor's platform first), "Linux and HiveOS" to /download, IgneumDag 2.0.3 painting underneath from
/api/live through IgneumFeed (window 60, fps 60, poll false, no fork). Below: three lines on what a miner gets (E5 and X35
verbatim), the live network in three tiles (hash rate, blocks a second, locked checkpoint; X2 and X31 verbatim), the
community row (Discord, GitHub, Reddit), the footer (X7). The scene scripts are deferred; fonts preload with swap.
- /download: a new route. Windows, macOS, Linux and HiveOS cards with their marks, the stamped version, size and sha256, the
HiveOS flight sheet, the three steps, the card picker with the vendor badge, the wallet for macOS; Windows wallet named as
next with no file.
- Marks: brand/marks/vendor-marks.mjs (gpu-logos lane, a94dd192) copied byte for byte to site/lib/marks.mjs (the build and a
gate line refuse drift); site/lib/os-marks.mjs adds Linux and HiveOS in the same treatment. The build stamps
<span data-os> and <span data-gpu> and puts the vendor's mini badge in front of every table cell that names a card
(/miner, /miners, the bench table), writes the --mark-* tokens into site.css between markers, and hands yourcard.js the
badges as JSON for the card picker. The vendor well is scoped to [data-mark] so the ledger's and the journey's own
.badge keep their look.
- The footer carries the four OS download chips; the nav's group wrappers are .nav-group (the wallet page owns .group).
- tools/site/serve.mjs and capture.sh: the site as Vercel serves it with /api passed to the live observer, captured on
igneum-build-2 at 390 and 1440, dark and light (docs/plans/site-ui-5-shots, the home set in this commit). The overlap
lane's detector ran over every page on build-2: 0 overlaps after the two fixes here (the explorer's hash titles wrap, the
ledger's status badges wrap at 390).

Main, 7 October 2026, 15:07 UK: one global exclusive measure flock across unrelated measurements stalled build-1 at load 120 with
free slots (a stopped probe held it 5.5 h; an exclusive waiter queued every new shared taker) and build-2 behind a one-core VDF
bench. lease.sh (installed at /srv/builds/_bin/lease by provision.sh and by hand on both boxes) takes one flock per core for a
pinned measurement and the quiet file for a whole-box one; remote-run.sh takes quiet shared only for unbounded runs, excludes
leased cores from its set, and its keeper refreshes the holder file and calls lease reap (a STOPPED holder of a lease, quiet or a
slot for 5 minutes is killed with a line in _log/reaped.log). Keepers close the lock descriptors they inherit (an orphaned sleep
held a slot and the worktree lock 20 s past the release; the slot self-test had rotted on that since the worktree lock landed).
tools/ci/box-locks-check.sh runs lease.sh --self-test and remote-run.sh --self-test-slots on build-1. provision.sh also carries
the 16 libraries headless Chromium needs (installed by hand on both boxes at 14:5x UK) and a headless self-test step.

The blank /live (the project lead, 14:3x UK): IgneumDag 2.0.2 painted only from a requestAnimationFrame loop gated on document.hidden and
the IntersectionObserver, so a page that loaded with document.hidden true (the desktop pane, a background tab) and whose embedder
never fired visibilitychange took every push, reported live and never drew a frame. 2.0.3 paints the current picture synchronously
on push, size and theme change; the motion loop alone waits for a visible document and an intersecting canvas. Confirmed headless
on build-2 against the live feed: hidden document 0 lit pixels before, 110,007 after; the never-intersecting observer repaints
on every push. Known-failed test tools/scene/paint-test.cjs (the 2.0.2 renderer draws nothing in the same world).
The second 2.0.3 change: the phone rule (30 s window, four lanes) keys on the viewport width, not the canvas width; a 640 px hero
on a 1,440 px laptop was rendering as a phone while the app's card beside it was not.
scene/ is the one source: live-dag.js, proof-core.js, tokens.css (the fourteen palette tokens, the brand package's values, dark and
light), feed-contract.md and .json (one JSON shape for the observer's /api/live and the app's api/live), a recorded reply as the
fixture. tools/scene/sync.mjs writes the copies and the scene-tokens block into site.css and app.css; --check is the gate line
(byte-equal scripts, an equal block, the names defined nowhere else, a print block excepted), --self-test fails five known cases
first. The site's token definitions move out of the package's :root line into the block; no value changes on the site.
tools/scene/feed-contract.mjs validates a reply against the key lists; its test refuses a miner rewritten to "you", a float now,
a stray key. Three new lines in tools/ci/pre-push.sh. The app side (branch scene-parity, for 0.3.21) takes the same folder.

31 runs were queued on igneum-build-1's one runner at 13:15 UK on 7 October 2026 and nothing had concluded since 13:03Z, so no lane could read a conclusion.
- ci.yml: a `changes` job (ubuntu-latest) classifies the push with tools/ci/docs-only-check.sh (docs/, site/, *.md only = code=false; a new branch, a pull request, a force push or an API error = code=true); pow and sims need it and run only on code=true. The site job is unchanged on ubuntu-latest for every push. The classifier's self-test is in the gate.
- provision.sh and runner/register.sh: `--host <ip>` registers another box, forwarding BOX_HOSTNAME, RUNNER_NAME, RUNNER_LABELS, RUNNER_CPUS and RUNNER_JOBS (plain words only); RUNNER_CPUS writes AllowedCPUs into the service drop-in beside Nice=10, so igneum-build-2's runner is bounded like a suite (32 cores). The pool label is igneum-build-1 (both boxes carry it); ci-red marks the box with the record file and the poster, the default labels carry it, and igneum-build-1 got it through the runners API today.
- ci-red.yml runs on the ci-red label, so the red line always lands where the poster reads it.
- CLAUDE.md: the rule reads "read the conclusion when it lands, own a red before the next push"; pushes are never held.

GitHub runs a workflow_run workflow from the default branch only, so a feature branch no longer waits for a merge of master before its reds are posted. record() reads the FAILED run from RED_WATCH_* (id, attempt, workflow, branch, sha, event, url, actor, title, author: the workflow_run payload) and asks the jobs API for that run, not the watcher's own; the inline GITHUB_* shape stays for a branch with the old `red` job (one line per run id either way). The inline job leaves ci.yml. Self-test covers the workflow_run shape and the full line.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The red job's condition drops the master/release-* clause; record() keeps GITHUB_ACTOR and the head commit's author name (RED_WATCH_AUTHOR from the workflow) and formatLine prints "pushed by <actor> (commit by <author>)" before the failed job and step. The self-test covers a feature-branch run and the author in the line. Same updates channel, same box file, same one-line-per-run idempotence.

The class (7 October 2026, 11:26 to 12:47 UK): three fork-gate summaries on ca3-v4-node carried the miners' vote-key hashes under "key" and eight CI runs went red on "no secret file names and no 64-hex secrets in the tree" while the pushing lanes saw nothing: the light gate ran only conflict markers and Windows paths.
- tools/ci/pre-push.sh: never_push_checks() (identity grep, no-secrets) runs on every ref from --hook, and inside the full gate where the identity grep already sat; the self-test asserts the wiring; the light gate is about 20 s on the Mac.
- infra/fast-time/lib/redact-keys.mjs: writeSummary() shortens every 64-hex value under a key-shaped field to 8 hex and an ellipsis and refuses a text the no-secrets rule would flag (line named); --self-test and --check; the gate runs the self-test. fork-gate.mjs adopts it on ca3-v4-node.

the project lead, 7 October 2026 15:02 UK: build-1 at load 139 / 114 / 90 with both slots held and a 1 h 40 min queue while build-2 read 4.5 with
free slots, because the class router pinned each class to its box. Now lib.sh bs_route_spill reads the preferred box (free slots,
1-minute load) with one ssh and hands the job to the other box when the preferred one has no free slot or sits above load 64 and the
other qualifies; neither qualifying queues on the class's own box. The decision travels as BR_ROUTE_* into the JSONL "route" object
for the dashboard. build-2's slots file reads 3; everything on box 2 runs at nice 10 / 32 cores / -j 32, and a bounded run takes
the band its slot owns so three never share a core. Self-test tools/ci/route-spill-check.sh (thirteen cases) in the gate.

docs/community/discord/structure.md: every channel with topic, pinned first post, slowmode and thread settings; the
AutoMod rules; the rules screen; the server guide to-dos and the pre-join question aligned with the map; the two bot
specs; the office-hour template; what needs the founder. Every row carries "set / read back"; all wait on the Discord
sign-in (the session expired; nothing typed).
tools/community/discord-hooks.mjs: `feed` (hourly: height, hash rate, keys, the last lock from /api/live), milestones
posted once each, the daily hash-origin field, `--via updates`, optional DISCORD_WEBHOOK_FEED, the tick wiring. Six
tests, 37 pass. One live post through the updates webhook as the proof of the path (feed:2026-10-07:11).

The dashboard lane, 7 October 2026 10:39Z: both slots of build-1 flock-held and EMPTY while two suites ran. Cause: a run from a
worktree without last night's append-mode fix opens a busy sibling's slot file with > on every probe. The holder now keeps its own
line: a keeper re-writes it within BR_KEEP_S (20 s) whenever the file is empty, until release; remote-run.sh --self-test-keeper
(in the gate) truncates a held line and sees it return, and sees nothing written after release; live on build-1 at 11:19Z (the
line came back in 25 s). The first version deadlocked the runner's bare wait with the keeper (build-2's first run hung 15 min
after its test passed): the keeper stops before the wait. The two running suites' -j 90 came from explicit --jobs 90: a bounded
class now clamps it to its cap with a log line (pass --priority gate for the full set). run-from-mac.sh --box N: the host file
was suffixed twice (build-server-2-2) and every box's mirror would have shared one remote name; one remote per box (build-N).
build-2's first green run: a suite at nice 10 on 32 cores, jobs 32, 986 s cold.

The owner, 12:4x UK: "some things look different on the live site vs the one I sent you, match it 1:1". site/site.css is
now the package's design system as delivered (tokens, type, chrome, components, breakpoints) with self-hosted fonts, the
two text tokens for contrast on light surfaces, and a compatibility layer for the data pages' vocabulary. The header
and footer are the package's (status bar, logo with the ember stop, the six items, the Discover dropdown, the theme
toggle, the Download button, the burger and its sheet; the footer grid with the three icon links, Run, Read, Explore
and the legal line). The home, miner and wallet pages carry the package's markup on our content; the live page, the
explorer, the litepaper, the faucet, the MetaMask page and the generated pages take its values in their own blocks.
The theme is always set (stored, else the OS), so the package's light theme applies. Side-by-side sheets before and
after at 1440 px from tools/site-redesign/sheets.mjs; no sample data, no review chrome, the hero loop continuous.

Seen on igneum-build-1 at 10:39Z on 7 October 2026: both slot files flock-held and empty while two suites ran and
three waiters queued, so the header read 0/2. The holder's missing line is the build-server agent's to fix; the
collector no longer reports a full box as free either way, and the page shows "held, no holder line" in the lane.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The build-server agent has igneum-build-2 and -3 on order (suites and benches; proving and the fast-time nodes). The
installer takes a host argument (N reads ~/.config/igneum/build-server-N, or build@<ip>); the pusher drops the Mac and
PC facts on every box it has a host file for, pulls each box's file and publishes boxes[] (box stays the first for the
old shape); the page draws one server section and one crew card per box, reads every box's Caddy feed in parallel
(build, build-2, build-3.igneum.network) with the edge copy filling any box that does not answer, and merges every
box's builds into the lanes, the timeline and the analytics. Nothing changes for build-1 until the host files exist.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The slot line now ends "; kind=<k> nice=<n> cores=<c>; agent=<a>" (build box scheduling, 69034dc0): lib.mjs lifts the
three into their own fields and keeps the bare label; the old line shape still derives its kind. The collector reads
/srv/builds/_locks/wait-<pid> and gate-pending-<pid> directly (dead pids skipped), marks a gate with priority gate
and sorts it first; the page shows the class line on Now building and Queue cards, a "gate queued" pill, and the class
in the closing lines. JSONL nice, cores, jobs and priority carried through. 14 tests pass.

Main's order of 7 October 2026 (igneum-build-2, AX162-1, and igneum-build-3, AX102-1, on order). lib.sh: bs_box_file N and
bs_route <class>; a class whose box has no host file yet falls back to box 1 and says so. run-from-mac.sh --box N <ip> provisions
igneum-build-N and writes build-server-N. tools/build-remote.sh --box N overrides the route; --priority gate always runs on box 1;
the proving crate routes to box 3. README.md: the kind map and the project lead's rule, no mining on any Hetzner box, ever (nodes, builds, tests,
benchmarks and CPU proving only; the pool's fast-time network mines on rented GPU pods, never on build-3). capacity/run.sh refuses a
job that would start igneum-miner mine or a GPU worker, whatever SEQUENCE says.

The package's design system, layouts and interactions on our tokens and self-hosted fonts (site/site.css section 10),
our facts, numbers, records and live services on every page. The home page: the GPU hero (site/hero-scene.js, continuous
while in view, labelled as drawn), the live DAG panel on scenes/feed.js and live-dag.js 2.0.2, three reasons, the
economics split, the download row with the OS marks, the ledger line. The miner page: the download layout, platform
tabs stamped from the live download index with sha256, the steps, the card table, the fee section (the one source of
/dev-fee), the FAQ. The wallet page in the package's wallet-hero layout, the window slot ready for the wallet redesign.
The secondary pages rendered by the build from one source each: /claims and /randomx from the litepaper's sections,
/dev-fee from the miner's fee section, /provenance from docs/provenance.md through the scrub, /journey from
journey.json; /benchmarks rewrites to /miners, /connect redirects to /metamask. The generated pages (bench, bench
table, ledger) restyled onto the page hero and the docs layout with a section filter. The footer's secondary links point
at the real pages. The copy pass on every served page (docs/plans/site-copy-pass.md). The package's data tests and the
hero loop test in the gate (tools/site-redesign). No sample data is served; the package's review chrome is not.

Main's order of 7 October 2026 after a load of 190 on 96 threads (a release join bench and the 0.3.19 app gate starving each
other, 'builds' of 16 minutes). tools/build-remote.sh resolves a class from the cargo subcommand and --priority: test and bench are
the bounded class (nice 10, the last 32 cores, -j 32) unless --priority gate (nice 0, the full set, the box's own jobs rule);
builds and checks are unchanged. remote-run.sh applies renice and taskset to the command's subshell, caps the jobs, lets a queued
gate (gate-pending-<pid>) take the next slot ahead of suites and benches, and prints nice and cores in the RESULT line and the
JSONL line (nice, cores, priority). The slot label carries '; kind=<k> nice=<n> cores=<c>' before '; agent=', so the dashboard's
job card shows why a job is slow. --plan prints the resolved class without the box; tools/ci/build-kind-default-check.sh (in the
gate) holds the five shapes. Smoke on the box: a suite at jobs=32 nice=10 cores=32, a gate at nice=0 cores=96.

Main's two follow-ons of 7 October 2026 after the per-block read. (1) /api/live?window=N&summary=1 returns the window's counts alone (blocks, chain, planned, proven, shards by state, the proving counters), and the /live Proven tile reads window 600 that way every 10 s with the line "of the last 10 minutes, every shard verified or paid", while the scene keeps its 60 s window; the stat was the scene window's count, zero by the proof lag. (2) The observer's shardStates reads an open claim as 'proving' from the claim until the proof lands: the records reply's own claims field whenever the node sends one, and the claims RPC behind OBSERVER_CLAIMS ('1' = igneum_getProofClaims, or a method name; unset = off); a node without the method turns the flag off for the run after one log line. Nothing lights until the node lane ships the RPC on the 0.3.20 line.

Main's order of 7 October 2026 on the per-block proof read. The live API joined proof rows by when the plan landed and capped the window at 300 s while the fleet's proofs land a median 262 s after the block, so a 60 or 90 s scene window read zero proven blocks by construction. Now: /api/live?window=N accepts 30 to 1800 s and returns at most 1,800 blocks; the shard rows are joined by block hash alone, so the proof's own landing is what moves a block to verified or paid in any window. The observer keeps reading a planned block's records for 30 minutes (was 10) so the lag tail still lands. provers_10m, shards_proven_10m and median_proof_lag_s are unchanged.
Read against the live chain through the local API at 11:05 UK: window 90 proven 0 before and after (every block younger than the lag), 300 proven 2, 600 proven 49 of 139 chain blocks, 1800 proven 143 of 329 chain blocks (1,334 s of blocks under the cap). Observation for the fleet lane: in 1,800 blocks no shard reads proving or verified; states go planned straight to paid.

The owner's orders of 7 October 2026 (header, logos, footer, phone scene) and the Counter ASIC lane's public text (docs/plans/counter-asic-3-public-text-2026-10-07.md, b10c7ac2) with the disclosure prize held back until its publish word.
Header: the one-screen home no longer hides items; the sheet carries exactly Litepaper, Miner, App, Wallet, Live devnet, Ledger and Download; 44 px bar links, 48 px sheet rows, the burger turns into an X; tools/ci/site-nav-check.mjs runs after every build and in the gate.
Cards: the Windows four-pane, Apple and Tux marks from 80c5618, white on the ember card, the card's own text colour on the mono cards (so they flip with the theme).
Footer: the ledger page renders through tools/ledger-page.mjs and now underlines Ledger; the Reddit profile is the one the owner named.
Renderer: narrow, narrowBreak 720, narrowWindow 30, narrowLanes 4, narrowMinNode 11; hairlines off except the selected chain; checkpoint labels as the percent; fps 60 on the home and /live mounts. Measured in headless chromium at 390 with 4x CPU throttling: 50 to 56 frames a second (the cap is 60).
Evidence row 17 rewritten in the table's eight columns. The forbidden list gains "disclosure prize" and the word-bounded rig names.
Tested with Playwright at 390 and 768 in both themes with real taps on every public page and the 404: 48 rows, 0 problems; captures in docs/plans/site-ui-4-shots/chrome.

tools/launch/income-tiers.mjs renders docs/analysis/income-tiers.md (public) from tools/launch/income-tiers.json: eleven measured cards (the 6 October rented-card rows, the 9070 XT telemetry run, the M5 Max Metal bench, each with its source), IGN a day at 1, 10 and 100 GH/s after the ramp on EmissionSchedule::TESTNET_1 (100 IGN a block, 90-day ramp from 10 percent, monthly 2^(-1/24), the 80 percent producer share), electricity a day and per mined IGN at USD 0.005, 0.02 and 0.10 a kWh, a rig and a pool-user line, the consequences per tier, the owed rows; --check fails CI when the page and its inputs disagree; the test pins the arithmetic (6,912 IGN a day for 100 MH/s on 100 GH/s at the launch rate, day 1 at 10 percent, one step at 2^(-1/24)).
tools/observer/hash-origin.mjs: once a day from the observer's tables, who found the blocks: keys with a block and above dust, attested pools against shared payout addresses (a multi-key machine is not a pool until its operator attests), the project fleet's share from the intake identity lines plus the fleet registry's key file, the ten largest keys, the 2x step since yesterday, the community gates (first 100 keys, first outside block, first attested outside pool at 10 percent for 7 days; the X5 count stays an upper bound until the two observer columns exist). --dry reads only; --write keeps hash_origin_days and hash_origin_reports and live_state.hash_origin; --post goes through the Discord poster's guard. Fixture, a known-finished and a known-failed day in the test. Ran read-only on the live devnet today: 113 keys, 0.76 GH/s, the fleet share wrong until the key file exists.
tools/ci/launch-gates-check.mjs (in pre-push.sh with the two test lines): every row of the Launch gates table in testnet-go.md has a check and every backticked path exists; the site-lane handoff and the income table carry no served-page or export pattern and no em dash; the eight regulatory sentences are present in order under the label. Self-test fires on each.

remote-run.sh checkout_tree ran `git clean -fd` on the box mirror before every build from any agent, so the attack rows
lost attack-f3/, attack-f1-venv/ and tools/attack/*/target to each other's builds (7 October 2026, 09:2x UK). The clean now
also spares the fixed prefixes attack-*, scratch-*, target-attack-*, .build-remote.log and every glob in the mirror-local
.igneum-scratch-spare (one per line, # comments, the file itself spared), keeps the target and stamp excludes and still runs
without -x. The clean-tree test asks `git clean -nd` with the same excludes instead of filtering the status list, so a spared
dir is not "not clean". --self-test: a fixed-prefix dir at the root and nested, a declared dir and the spare file survive, an
undeclared dir is removed. tools/ci/scratch-spare-check.sh in the pre-push gate fails when the clean line loses the spare
arguments, spare_args stops reading the file, a fixed prefix goes, or -x appears. docs/plans/build-server.md R4a says how a
lane declares its prefix.

the fee in full view, three real shots. /app is new: the Igneum Ember app
page by page (Overview, Cards with Ember, the chain drawn live by the

it mining), light and dark, every shot a real capture or a render from
the RTX 5090 Windows rig's live state with the hostname painted out.
/live is redrawn to show the system working: the step scene, six live
cells, finality in plain words, miner lanes, provers paid, recent blocks
landing, the light client in one line, the DAG below. site.css carries
the shared product components (frames, download list, lines, your-card
line, phone download bar); yourcard.js reads the network rate. The
ledger and wallet pages no longer overflow at 390 px.

The owner's word this morning: the 56 px header, the eleven-word
statement, two buttons, the step scene full bleed, three facts, the
downloads and one line to the ledger. Kept from the nights since: the
X31 testnet sentence, the X35 chip range with k stated, the Discord
line. The RandomX correction (X34), G4, C2 and X8 stand on the
litepaper; the ledger notes and the text check say so. The app showcase
moves to the miner page in the next step.

Three classes from the 0.3.17 night. (1) bash reads a script incrementally: tools/build-remote.sh was edited while a four-minute remote
build ran, the running copy continued at shifted bytes and died with a syntax error after the build had succeeded on the box; the
four long-running tools (build-remote, cross-remote, workers-remote, move-hand) now keep their body in one brace block ending in exit,
parsed whole before a line runs; tools/ci/whole-body-check.sh (in the gate, self-test with a block-less copy) holds the shape.
(2) A fork build pairs with the igneum-pow of the igneum worktree it sits in: a fork at 12153428 under a master worktree failed in
kaspa-pow four minutes in (no chain_program_shadow; master's igneum-pow predates release-0.3.17's); build-remote.sh says the
pairing on its first line ('pairs with igneum 6f8d7a7e (detached): igneum-pow 0.2.0') and the JSONL line carries pairs_with.
The first version of that line used '[ -n ... ] && echo' inside an assignment's $( ) and set -e ended the script on the false
status; fixed. (3) move-hand.sh restart <hand> [--digest <hex>] [--go]: after binary installed a release, restart ONE unit and read
it back (first exec line, commit string in the running binary, digest against the wanted one, igneum_getNodeInfo powEngine over the
node's loopback EVM RPC); the digest readers tolerate a missing line.

Main's order of 7 October 2026 after RunPod's Ubuntu 22.04 canaries (glibc 2.35) refused the box's GLIBC_2.38 binaries and HiveOS
turned out Ubuntu 20.04 based (2.31). The table lives once, in tools/ci/glibc-ceiling-check.sh (--class, --ceiling-of; self-test
covers the table, an unknown class and a 2.34 need against hive); tools/build-remote.sh --ship hive|rig|seed|linux (default seed)
and tools/workers-remote.sh --class (default rig) build with zig at the class's glibc and check against it. provision.sh installs
docker.io (user build in the docker group) for the proof. Proof: fork 3bfe346f at class hive, igneumd and igneum-miner need
GLIBC_2.30; the workers at class rig need GLIBC_2.17; all four run in ubuntu:20.04 (ldd 2.31) and ubuntu:22.04 (ldd 2.35) and
print their version or usage lines (the OpenCL worker its own no-libOpenCL message, the binary running in a GPU-less container).

The previous commit's 'the workers at 2.36' was not yet true: the first zig build died on __isoc23_strtol because -I /usr/include
for CL/cl.h put Ubuntu's glibc 2.39 stdlib.h in front of zig's bundled 2.36 headers. Fixed; proof on the box (6 s):
igneum-worker-cuda 6,759,272 B sha256 690c8e91..., igneum-worker-opencl 307,264 B sha256 329fb6a9..., each needing GLIBC_2.34
and libc only, the ceiling check passing. The two static flags zig ignores are dropped on the zig path (zig links its libc++ in).

Main's order of 7 October 2026 after a seed took 14 restarts and three minutes down on a glibc 2.39 binary. provision.sh:
step_zig (zig 0.17.0 from ziglang.org, sha256 from the official download index) and cargo-zigbuild 0.23.4 in the cargo tools.
tools/build-remote.sh --ship [--glibc 2.36]: cargo zigbuild --target x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu.2.36 with zig as the C/C++
toolchain (the Mac's infra/cross/build-linux.sh recipe), artefacts from the target-triple dir, each checked by
tools/ci/glibc-ceiling-check.sh (need at most the ceiling; self-test fires on 2.38 against 2.36, passes 2.34 and 2.36;
--symbols reads a saved objdump -T text so CI needs no ELF tools). tools/workers-remote.sh builds the two GPU workers with
zig at 2.36 by default (GLIBC=native for clang). Proof on the box: fork 3bfe346f igneumd needs GLIBC_2.34 (47,023,120 B,
sha256 345dfb95...), igneum-miner GLIBC_2.34 (9,248,808 B, d09dc27b...), 3 min 17 s cold through zig; the workers at 2.36.
Rule: anything that ships to a seed or a HiveOS rig is built with --ship; a plain build (glibc 2.39) is for the box and
Ubuntu 24.04 hosts only.
