9f6a4ebc65 App: every worker gets --prepare-packs in the platform's path form and runs with the app data folder as cwd (program class v3: the Metal worker compiles v3 only from a prepared pack; the Macs would have answered need lines at the first v3 epoch)
cargo test --release -p igneum-app under the build lock: 113 + 27 + 8 passed, 0 failed (the prepare_packs_tests,
resume_tests and provedefault tests among them).

c4da08d302 App: the resume path re-arms every stopped card, re-exports its pack and checks 90 s later that every enabled card mines (PC 2 at 21:25:11Z and the Mac that afternoon stayed at 0 MH/s after resume); the PC 2 socket-fix job
The known-failed case, from PC 2's 0.3.9 log (run win-1ccfe586-20261005-200114): 1791234223 pause -> 'stopping the
miners (paused)' (every slot's restart_at cleared, the 5090 'off'); 1791235511 '[ok] mining resumed'; then
'0.00 MH/s, waiting' at every 30-s status line until the 0.3.10 restart at 21:49:41Z. Cause: Cmd::Resume re-armed
only slots whose watchdog said faulted; the 5090's slot was healthy and stopped, so nothing restarted it. The test
the_pc2_resume_of_21_25_11z_restarts_under_the_new_rule_and_not_the_old encodes that slot (faulted false, live

5c808b89e0 Ember Tune: every card tuned for MH per watt out of the box, the fleet prior per card model in the signed manifest, the console and /miners priors table
the project lead, 5 October 2026, 22:45 BST: "make sure we have ember tuning every single card for efficiency out of the box, the
more data = the better the tune, make an awesome system." Built on lever 3 (docs/plans/miner-eff.md), lever 2's signed
tuning section (docs/design/miner-tuning.md), the AMD telemetry helper (423936b, its --tune/--set-gmax/--set-plimit/
--reset contract) and the Power control switch (057f0ec). Design, data flow, tiers and the privacy line:
docs/plans/ember-tune.md.

- src/ember.rs (new): two knobs per card (power limit %, core clock cap MHz; memory clock never touched), the full plan
(power ladder 100..50%, then the clock ladder 90..60% at the chosen power), the confirm plan (the fleet prior and one
neighbour), the baseline plan (measure only), the marks (faulted, hot, memory_clock_dropped, unapplied, no_readings),
the choice (best MH/W within 1% of the top rate, then rate, then draw), the fleet record (a hash of the install id,
no address), the prior lookup and the kill switch (tuning.ember), the state machine on a fake clock. 9 unit tests.
- engine.rs: tick_sweep schedules every NVIDIA, AMD and Apple card (120 s steady, 600 s to the boundary, no job hold,
no pause, weekly, again after a driver major or program-class change, never under the manifest kill switch); the
  probe (nvidia-smi clocks.max.gr + driver_version and the direct/helper mode; igneum-gpu-telemetry --tune for AMD);
  tune_apply (nvidia-smi -pl / -lgc 0,<MHz> / -rgc directly or through the helper; the AMD helper per request);
Cmd::TuneProbe, Cmd::TuneSet; faults from rejected and mismatched hashes mark the step; the TUNE lines and the TUNE
{json} record, uploaded with the log; the Tuned line on the card state. The NVIDIA helper starts only with Power
control on: the --sweep job never counts as permission (no prompt on a PC with nobody there).
- sweep.rs: the helper protocol gains lgc/rgc (clock cap and reset) and resets the clocks after 20 idle minutes.
- state.rs, config.rs: the tune fields (clock cap, driver, class, source, the Tuned line); the nvidia-smi telemetry
query carries clocks.gr and clocks.mem; the AMD sample line's plimit_pct and gmax_mhz are parsed.
- ui: "Tuned: X MH/s at Y W (Z MH/W)" with the point, the source and when; measure-only cards say why; the Ember Tune
  switch; tune-line.test.mjs.
- relay/lib/ember.mjs + relay/test/ember.test.mjs: the aggregation per (card model | driver major | program class):
median point, MH/W, spread, samples, machines; five samples converge, an outlier does not move the median, baselines
make no prior, de-duplication, the manifest merge keeps lever 2's cards. api/console.mjs fn=tuning and
  tools/console.mjs tuning; tools/tuning.mjs --priors [--write tuning.json] [--site] [--tuning-off].
- site: the fleet priors table on /miners (site/miner-priors.json), the lever text.
- relay/playbooks/ember-tune-pc1.ps1: the PC 1 run (second engine with --sweep from a scratch copy of the install).

Measured tonight: see the bench log entry that follows the PC 1 run. The 9070 XT left PC 1's bus at 20:40 UTC and the
5090 needs the administrator prompt the project lead cannot answer asleep, so tonight's PC 1 run is the baseline plan on the 5090
through the whole pipeline; the two-knob tune on both cards is owed.

192aa3b83c app: Power control setting (default off): the app never asks for administrator rights on its own
the project lead, 5 October 2026: "if we don't have to ask then don't ask". The NVIDIA power cap and the efficiency sweep need
administrator rights (one UAC prompt); PC 1 raised that prompt for cmd.exe at every app start and every sweep attempt
(17:00, 17:30, 18:12, 19:04 UTC today, each cancelled unanswered after 2 minutes; the "Windows Command Processor"
the project lead saw).

- config.rs: `power_control` (default OFF on every machine); `sweep` default becomes off and is implied by it (an
install carrying sweep = true without power_control is migrated to off on load).
- engine.rs: `elevation_allowed(power_control, sweep_only)` gates the power cap (`power_cap_plan` builds nothing when
off, the card note says so), the sweep scheduler, Sweep now, the sweep helper; no prompt on quit (the limits reset at
the next reboot); no second prompt through PowerShell when the window host's prompt goes unanswered.
  Cmd::PowerControl(on): on = ONE prompt at that moment (every NVIDIA cap in one step), off = nothing asks;
`power_control_after_prompt` turns a refused, cancelled or unanswered prompt into "power control off:
administrator rights were not given" (switch back off, sweep off, no retries). Unit tests: off builds no elevated
command; on + refusal gives the notice; rights given keeps it on.
- platform.rs: `elevated_failure` maps the launcher's exit 251 and the "canceled" wording to the prompt, any other
  code to the step itself.
- server.rs: POST /api/power/control {on}. ui: the Power control switch with the line "Windows asks for administrator
rights once; the cap and the sweep need them", the note beside it, the sweep switch disabled while it is off.
- The clock-sync prompt stays behind the Sync clock button only (unchanged).
- tools/windows/power-prompts-off.ps1: the 0.3.9 job that switched PC 1's sweep off through the API it has
(run-20261005-192313: sweep True -> False; the 0.3.9 cap has no off switch, it asks at an app start only).

fe852a4335 AMD telemetry: igneum-gpu-telemetry (ADLX on Windows, amdgpu sysfs on Linux, PDH utilisation fallback) feeds the card row's draw, temperature, fan, memory clock and MH/W; measured on PC 1: 9070 XT 198.9 W, 64 C, 657 rpm, 17.73 MH/s = 0.089 MH/W beside the 5090 at 307.6 W, 122.30 MH/s = 0.398 MH/W
the project lead watched the 9070 XT at 90% usage with its fans barely turning and the app could not say what it drew: the
draw, temperature and MH per watt line came from nvidia-smi only, and the earlier per-watt figure used the board
rating. proto-opencl/gpu-telemetry.c prints one line per AMD card per sample (bus from SetupAPI by the display
device's name, kind, name, watts, temp_c, fan_rpm, fan_pct, mclk_mhz, gclk_mhz, util_pct, source), built by
build-windows.sh against vendor/adlx (the SDK clone), shipped by make-payload.sh and push-inputs.sh. The engine
runs it with -l 5 beside nvidia-smi (Source::AmdTelemetry, tick_amd_telemetry), parse_amd_telemetry fills
power_w, temp_gpu, fan_pct, fan_rpm, mclk_mhz, util_pct and telemetry_at on the AMD card matched by kind and
ordinal, so eff_mhw and the dashboard's existing line show it; app.js shows fan and memory clock when present.
Tests: three on the parser with lines captured on PC 1 and the Mac fixture; the sysfs path ran on a fixture tree.

Measured over 20:27:45 to 20:29:41 UTC with both cards mining (docs/bench-log.md, under the 9070 XT ceiling table):
9070 XT 198.9 W (193 to 212), 64 C, 657 rpm, 2,505 MHz memory, 3,290 MHz shader, 100% busy, 17.73 MH/s =
0.089 MH/W; RTX 5090 307.6 W, 69 C, 44% fan, 122.30 MH/s = 0.398 MH/W.

55ea10cc26 Proving v1: prover on by default, the aggregated segment record, host modes chain, aggregate and verify-segment, the app's aggregator step, spec 7.8, the fast-time harness and the coverage tool
Step 1: app/igneum-app/src/provedefault.rs decides once per install (NVIDIA 12 GB or more, WSL2 answering on
Windows, Linux native, Apple silicon off until measured), never switching an explicit on back off; the Settings
switch line and the tile line say why (5 unit tests). tools/proving-v1/pc2-prover-cost.ps1 is the PC 2 job
(5 min mining alone, 5 min with the prover, GPU memory and host RAM peaks, the sp1-gpu-server's SM targets).

Step 2: the host gains --mode chain (consecutive fixtures, each block aggregated with the previous block's
proof by recursion), --mode aggregate (the live aggregator over shard proof files, a run of blocks in one
process) and --mode verify-segment (the node's verifier against the pinned aggregator key); the app's prover
loop gains aggregate_once (spec 7.8). Eight consecutive live fixtures (blocks 81046 to 81053, node 1's export
at tip 81076) under proving/fixtures/chain/. tools/proving-v1/pc2-chain.ps1 is the PC 2 job (held).

Steps 3 and 4: tools/proving-v1/coverage.mjs (the proven-block share and the on-chain latency from one node's
RPC), tools/proving-v1/net.mjs (the fast-time 3-node harness on 29950+ with the known-finished and
known-failed cases of the chain rule and the unproven rule), the four proving_v1 fields in
infra/fast-time/override-60x.json. Spec 7.8, the 7.4 rows, the 5.3 sentence, docs/plans/proving-v1.md.

cbe031b39c Merge gpu-hotplug (bd21f2a) into miner-ui-2: the hot-plug card states on the six-section UI
The Notices block takes the hot-plug notices as on gpu-hotplug (card added, not usable, removed). The View block
and the Mine rows, the first-run rows and the Settings cards show a removed card (dimmed, no switch, the row goes
after five minutes) and a faulty card (named in ember, the OS problem code, the reboot hint, no switch); the big
button and the counts take only present cards; the name tooltip carries the tool's code, the device, the platform
and the PCI address. view.test.mjs covers the two states. host.cpp keeps both the WM_GETMINMAXINFO and the
WM_DEVICECHANGE cases.

Build tooling: push-build-inputs.sh and build-job.mjs take --no-node (the app engine only, no node source, no node
build, no node tests), for an app-only PC compile.

41631431c0 Workers: a pack's seed words are its program attempt's words, not the bare seed's (epoch 34 incident, 5 October 2026)
From 18:23Z both Windows workers (CUDA on PC 1 and PC 2, OpenCL on PC 1 after the 18:34Z node restart)
refused every pack for epoch 34 with "the epoch seed bytes do not give the pack's IGNEUM_SEEDW_INIT", and
the miner and the app restarted them every 5 to 60 s until 18:44Z and beyond. The packs were correct.
The generator retries a rejected candidate with seed || k_le32 (attempt_words); epoch 34's attempt 0 was
rejected (246 of 16384 final register values saturated, limit 163) and attempt 1 accepted, so the pack
carried attempt 1's words while pf_load (proto-cuda/nvrtc/packfile.h) derived the expected words from
the bare seed. Both workers also matched jobs to pairs by those bare-seed words, so even a loaded pack
of a retried program would have answered "epoch seed mismatch" on every job.

The rule, in one place per language:
- packfile.h: pf_program_words(bytes, attempt); pf_load reads IGNEUM_PROGRAM_ATTEMPT and checks the
attempt's words; the refusal says "program pack and its seeds disagree: IGNEUM_SEEDW_INIT is not
attempt N of the epoch seed ..." in plain words.
- worker.cpp and proto-opencl/host.c: a job belongs to a pair when the seed hex the node sent is the
pair's (pairIs); the compiled-in placeholder pack keeps the word comparison.
- igneum-pow/src/packcheck.rs: verify_pack_texts / verify_pack_dir, the same rule in Rust; the miner
checks every pack it writes with it before a worker sees it (vendor/igneum-node pack-loop branch).
Tests pin the attempt vectors of epoch 34 on both sides (one vector, two implementations), that
  epoch 34 is attempt 1 and epoch 33 attempt 0, a known-good pack of a later attempt, a known-mismatched
(out of date) pack, and self-contradicting packs.
- proto-cuda/nvrtc/emu/packfile-test.c (+ .sh, in CI): pf_load on a known-good attempt-1 pack, the
  checked-in attempt-0 pack, and the known-mismatched bare-words pack.

The app (app/igneum-app):
- watchdog.rs: PACK_OUT_OF_DATE_CODE 44, PackRebuilds (at most 3 pack exports per epoch, then the card
shows the reason), pack_refusal (the worker's "error 0 pack" line and the miner's "PACK OUT OF DATE"
line), pack_epoch_of; tests on the incident lines, known-good and known-mismatched.
- engine.rs: exit 44 exports the pack again before the restart instead of a blind restart, the strip
says "program pack out of date, rebuilding", the card and the log name the condition; at the cap the
card is marked failed with the reason and tries again in 10 minutes.

The relay (relay/lib/parse.mjs): PACK_MISMATCH; the card reads "pack mismatch, rebuilding (N refusals
in the tail, M restarts)" in `node tools/console.mjs machines` instead of a bare restart count; tests
on the PC 2 tail of 18:27Z and a healthy tail.

6bf6af9533 Igneum Miner UI 2: six sections behind a rail (Mine, Prove, Rewards, Node, Updates, Settings)
The one long page becomes a rail with six sections, a thin top bar and the status strip under it; the setup
screens and the key sheet stay. Mine: one big start/stop, the numbers, one row per GPU with its switch, hash
rate, temperature and power. Prove: the switch with plain words, the counts, the verifier, the pinned ids.
Rewards: the address with one Copy, the key backup card, another address. Node: the plain lines, the consensus
digest, the next switch. Updates: the version, the jobs. Settings: one switch or slider per setting with one line
of help. Every function that existed is placed, none removed.

Engine (three small additions, each with a unit test): node.consensus_digest from the node's own line,
node.consensus_switches from the override file, proving.program_id and aggregator_id from the host's --mode id.
Hosts: the window minimum is 900 x 600 on both. UI tests: view.test.mjs (10) joins notices and update-card in CI.
Proof: docs/plans/miner-ui-2.md and the 19 screenshots under docs/plans/miner-ui-2/, taken from a build of this
tree running on its own port against the devnet.

bd21f2a680 app: one card row per physical GPU across OpenCL platforms, Windows names on the rows, index-free card keys; the OpenCL worker prints the PCI address
PC 1 after Adrenalin 26.9.2 (5 October 2026): two AMD ICDs each listed the iGPU and the RX 9070 XT, so the 0.3.9
app showed five rows for three GPUs (gfx1036, gfx1201, gfx1036, gfx1201 plus the 5090), ran two workers on the one
9070 XT at 9 MH/s each, called the iGPU discrete, and re-enabled it when its key moved from amd:1:gfx1036 to
amd:0:gfx1036.

detect.rs: the Windows path is a pure assemble(Inputs) over nvidia-smi, the worker's --list and the adapter list.
dedupe_platforms keeps one entry per card per vendor: the fuller platform wins (most GPUs, then the newest driver,
then the first listed) and another platform's device survives only at a PCI address the winner lacks (without
addresses: the same code and ordinal); the dropped entries go to the log, never to a worker. resolve_name puts the
Windows adapter name on the row: by PCI bus (the adapter list now carries DEVPKEY_Device_BusNumber and Address),
else by the gfx code's PCI device ids, else by the card names in a gfx table (gfx1201, 1200, 1100, 1101, 1102,
1030, 1031, 1032, 1036, 1035, 1103, 1150, 90c, approximate), else the table's words, else the code. The code stays
in `code`, the key and the row's tooltip; the key is vendor:code with "#2" for a twin, no index. hotplug::pref_for
reads a 0.3.9 key (vendor:index:code) when exactly one matches; the diff matches by key and PCI address, then by
vendor and name or code. The iGPU is integrated and off by default; the choice survives a moved index.

proto-opencl/host.c: --list prints ", pci bb:dd.f" on the info line from CL_DEVICE_TOPOLOGY_AMD or the NVIDIA bus
and slot ids (needs a worker rebuild through proto-cuda/nvrtc/build-windows.sh and push-inputs; an old worker
still works, by code and ordinal).

Tests: detect::tests has the five-row PC 1 list as a fixture (two platforms, the three adapters with DEV_13C0,
DEV_2B85 and DEV_7550) and asserts three rows named NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics (integrated,
off) and AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT (discrete, on, 8 identities), the keys, the console line, and the diff against the
one-platform list before the eGPU (iGPU moved, 9070 XT added, nothing removed); plus the list parser with and
without pci, dedupe with and without addresses, name resolution, twins' keys. cargo test -p igneum-app: 96 passed.

d7049fdfda app: GPU hot-plug (re-detection every minute, WM_DEVICECHANGE on Windows), faulty cards listed with the problem code, integrated GPUs off by default, the card list in the console
5 October 2026: an RX 9070 XT went into PC 1 through a Sonnet USB4 box while the app ran and nothing noticed; the
app detected cards once at start. Now src/hotplug.rs compares every enumeration with the list (key, else vendor +
name when unique; a card whose tool did not answer is never called removed): a new usable card starts a worker,
enabled by default like a card at start, with "New card: <name>, mining" on the strip and in the log; a card
Windows lists with a problem code (Win32_VideoController Status / ConfigManagerErrorCode) is shown as "<name>: not
usable (Code 43)" with the reboot-or-reinstall hint and no worker; a card that disappears has its worker stopped
(quit, 8 s) and its row says removed for five minutes, then hides; an unchanged list touches nothing. The Windows
host sends "detect" on WM_DEVICECHANGE; the engine polls every 60 s (300 s on macOS, no GPU hot-plug there).

detect.rs: the Ryzen iGPU is "gfx1036" to the OpenCL worker, so the APU gfx codes count as integrated, plus the
adapter row's Intel processor string and a dedicated memory under 1 GB; integrated defaults to off with "integrated
GPU, off by default (2 to 3 MH/s for 30 W)" on the row, and the user's choice is kept across re-detections and

Console: the engine logs "cards: <name> [<kind>, <state>] | ..." at start, on every change and every 10 minutes;

the console line), detect.rs (PC 1's adapter lines, the Mac, kind classification, the unusable row),
notices.test.mjs (card notices), relay parse.test.mjs (cards line). cargo test -p igneum-app: 91 passed.

6cecbd4c67 jobs: one signed object (igneum-jobs.signed.json) so a file and a signature from two deployments can never pair
The 13:19:41Z refusal on PC 2: fetch_jobs took igneum-jobs.json and .sig in two requests while the edge was
still serving the previous deployment for one of them. The signer wraps the verified pair into one object and
reads it back; the app fetches that object (the pair only when none is published); publish-jobs.sh writes and
mirrors all three files and verifies every folder after the deploy; tools/jobs.mjs reads the envelope.
Tests: jobs.rs signed_envelope_binds_file_and_signature, packaging/ota/test-publish-jobs.sh (24 checks).

0.3.6 on both PCs: igneumd.exe (built on PC 1 with GCC 13's mingw) shipped with the Mac toolchain's GCC 16
libstdc++-6.dll, which no longer exports seven symbols the exe imports (std::codecvt_utf8_utf16 and a
stringbuf::seekpos); Windows refused the node with Entry Point Not Found. -C link-arg=-static had never removed
the libstdc++ import (0.3.5's Mac-built exe carries it too).
- packaging/windows/check-runtime-dlls.sh: objdump imports per DLL against the DLL's exports; shown to fail
the 0.3.6 pairing (7 missing) and pass 0.3.5's; run by push-inputs.sh before signing and by make-payload.sh
- push-inputs.sh: DLLs next to the exes first, then the Mac toolchain
- jobbuild.rs: the PC's windows stage copies its own toolchain's three DLLs into the pack (unit test);
build-job.mjs accepts the small DLL PE files and places them next to the exes
- cross-build.sh: -static-libstdc++ added as a try (measured on the 0.3.7 build)

259d81afc8 Miner app 0.3.7: the update card, one centred card over the window for an update
The strip under the header stays; the card is the first sight of an update. The mark with a progress ring, "Igneum
Ember 0.3.7", one line (is available, is downloading with the percent, is ready to install, Installing. The app
restarts itself., did not install with the one-line cause and Try again), up to three lines of release notes from the
manifest with the rest behind "What changed", the size, Install now and Later. Escape and the backdrop are Later.
Reduced motion is honoured.

Rules (UpdateCard, pure, app/igneum-app/ui/update-card.test.mjs): the card never opens while a job runs, in the
engine's first 60 s, while the key sheet is up or while the app quits; it waits and comes once the block lifts.
Later hides this version at this stage and leaves the strip; the card comes back for a newer version, or when the
download is ready and automatic updates are off (with them on it installs by itself). An open card follows its
update through downloading, ready, installing and failed; installing and failed never open a card by themselves.

?update=<kind>[&auto=0][&card=1] and ?uptime= on the page show every state without an engine. CI runs the new test
file next to notices.test.mjs.

5 October 2026, PC 2 on 0.3.5: the prover probe's inline script (double quotes, a path with a space) reached bash
mangled and the app said proving needed the WSL2 setup while /opt/igneum held the host. Now the probe, run_tool, the
setup launch, igneum-prove-verify (probe and run; the wslpath round trip dropped) and jobrun's six inline scripts
write a UTF-8, LF, no-BOM file under %LOCALAPPDATA%\igneum\wsl and run wsl -d <distro> -- bash [-l] '<file>' '<arg>'...
with every word single-quoted, placed raw on the command line; arguments reach the script as $1, $2. Unit tests pin
that the line never carries a double quote or a newline and that the file has LF endings and no BOM.

c40aa303a6 app jobs: wake long-poll on the relay, fetch within seconds of a publish; safety-net poll 2 minutes (was 10)
the project lead, 5 October 2026: "why is it taking so long for pc2 and pc1s tasks to spin up?". The PCs have no inbound ports
and one miner is off the LAN, so one thread per app now long-polls the relay's public /wake with the last stamp
(GET <url>?since=<stamp>, held up to 45 s there). A changed stamp sends Event::Wake and the engine fetches the jobs
file at once (signature check unchanged); a wake during a fetch in flight fetches again right after it. The first
reply only seeds the stamp. Backoff 5, 15, then 60 s while the relay is unreachable, a 10 s floor between requests,
a full hold when the relay has no stamp yet: never a busy loop. One log line per wake, one when it falls back, one
on recovery. IGNEUM_APP_JOBS_WAKE_URL overrides the URL (set and empty: no waker).

CHECK_EVERY_S 600 -> 120: the poll is the fallback now; the first poll stays 40 to 60 s after start. An unchanged
file is no longer logged on every poll. Remote jobs off stops the waker too.

Unit tests: the stamp logic (seed, same, changed, empty), the backoff sequence and the recovery flag, the floor,
the URL and query. cargo test -p igneum-app: 60 + 22 pass; cargo build --release -p igneum-app: finished.

25350f254a app: the node gets a proof verifier, the WSL2 probe checks both layouts, the tile shows the verifier state (0.3.6 items 1 to 3)
Spec 7.7 item 4: a node without a verifier relays proof records and never includes them. On 5 October no app node ran one.

1. src/verifier.rs decides once per node start and engine.rs passes it to the igneumd spawn. macOS and Linux: igneum-prove-host
next to the engine's binaries. Windows: the new igneum-prove-verify.exe (src/bin/prove-verify.rs, a bin target of this crate,
shipped by make-payload.sh) is set only when its --probe finds a host inside WSL2; it rewrites --proof with wslpath -a,
runs the host in the order of src/wslhost.rs and returns its exit code, 2 when there is no host. Trust mode is never the
default: the setting proof_verify_trust (Settings, "devnet only") sets IGNEUM_PROOF_VERIFY=trust only when no verifier was
found; changing it restarts the node. After the WSL2 setup runs, the prover thread asks for one node restart.
2. The prover's WSL2 probe looks at the payload's wsl2/bin, ~/igneum-prove/proving/igneum-prove/target/release (what
setup-wsl.sh builds), ~/igneum-prove/target/release and /opt/igneum, in that order (one list in src/wslhost.rs, shared
with the wrapper); the tile's message names every path it looked at.
3. The prover thread reads igneum_getProvingStatus().verifier every 30 s, proving on or off; /api/state carries
   proving.verifier, verifier_mode, verifier_set, verifier_reason, verifier_note and the pool counts; the tile has a
verifier row and says when this node relays proofs but does not verify them.

Tests: cargo test -p igneum-app, 89 passed. The wrapper cross-compiles with --target x86_64-pc-windows-gnu on the Mac.

7388a20f95 Miner app UI: one notice strip under the header replaces the three stacked banners (updates, jobs, clock)
One notice at a time, the most important first (app/igneum-app/ui/app.js, Notices; pure, unit tested):
0 update installing, urgent or failed 1 job failed 2 clock 3 job running
4 update available, downloading, ready, waiting for permission, manual 5 job done 6 updated
Lower notices wait their turn. Every notice has a close control; closing hides that notice's key until the
state moves on (a new status, version or job id).

States and their rules:
update available "Igneum Miner X is available." Install now, Later. Key update:X:pending.
update downloading "Downloading Igneum Miner X: 43%." (no percent when unknown), progress bar; same key as
available and checking, so Later hides the whole download until it is ready.
update checking "Checking Igneum Miner X." (the engine's staging step).
update ready "Igneum Miner X is ready. It installs by itself at a quiet moment." (auto on) or just
"... is ready." Install now, Later. Key update:X:ready.
update waiting Windows, nobody answered the administrator prompt: "... is waiting for permission. It
installs the next time someone is at this PC. Mining continues."
update manual "... is downloaded. Open it and drag the app over the old one." Open the download.
update installing "Installing Igneum Miner X. The app restarts itself. Mining continues until then."
(on a Mac, where the engine quits at once: "The app restarts itself in a moment.")
Also while the engine says "installing now" after Install now.
update urgent the engine's consensus-deadline text, ember, downloading percent when it downloads.
update failed "The update to X failed." plus one line of cause and Try again; rolled back:
"Igneum Miner X did not stay up and was rolled back." A dev build with no manifest
configured shows nothing (Settings still says it).
updated "Updated to Igneum Miner X from Y." Gone 60 s after the new version started.
job running "Job: <title> running, N min. <Stage>." with the last RESULT line underneath.
job done "Job: <title> done after N min. Report uploaded." Gone after 5 minutes.
job failed "Job: <title> failed after N min, exit C. Report not uploaded." plus the first error
line (BUILD FAILED / error / failed / panic among the result lines, else the summary).
Stays until closed. Timeout and aborted are "hit its time cap" and "was stopped".
clock as before: the engine's words, Sync clock, the manual hint; on the setup screens only
(the node card carries it on the dashboard). Jobs show on the dashboard only.

Layout: the strip reserves no height while empty; when a notice appears or goes, main's top moves once with a
150 ms transition (none under prefers-reduced-motion). Existing tokens only, nothing newer than 2022 CSS.
Screenshots: ?update=<state> as before, ?job=running|done|failed added (packaging/ota/README.md).

Test: node --test app/igneum-app/ui/notices.test.mjs (ordering, dismissed keys, wording, the 5-minute and
60-second timers); added to the CI site job. Built once with cargo (include_str) and checked against the
ui-mock scenarios and a scratch engine instance (IGNEUM_APP_DATA in a temp dir, fake worker).

fd07ef569f Merge origin/testnet-prep (28f6ccc) into testnet-adopt: testnet identity, fee floors and pgas table adopted 5 October 2026, G13 signed build inputs, release-0.3.6 plan
Owner's decision, 5 October 2026: the proposed testnet identity (docs/testnet/README.md) and the proposed fee floors
and prover-gas table (docs/analysis/base-fee-floor.md, spec 05 section 5.10) are adopted as proposed. The three
documents now say "adopted 5 October 2026" with the sign-off noted and the per-network rule written in: the testnet
and the mainnet carry calibrated v1 from genesis; the devnet and the simnet keep the prototype set until the
fees_v1_activation_daa height switch (fork branch release-0.3.6) moves them.

Conflicts (generated site files): index.html keeps the 0.3.5 dev-fee sentence and testnet-prep's testnet-terms card;
litepaper.html keeps the 0.3.5 two-paragraph dev-fee text and testnet-prep's MetaMask paragraph; journey.json keeps
the 0.3.5 feed (newest 40); sitemap.xml keeps /miners and /wallet. Site rebuilt with node site/build.mjs.

Also: infra/fast-time/override-60x.json carries fees_v1_activation_daa 0 (the fork's fast-time test wants every
override field); docs/plans/release-0.3.6.md (the inputs push must run from this tree before the workflow verifies
the signature; the devnet rollout of the fee floor as a height switch; the morning order).

Checks: node site/build.mjs; link-check 324 links 0 broken; check-workflow-shell 0 findings; test-inputs-signing.sh
16 of 16 with the signer built from this tree; bash -n on the four shell files; the PowerShell parse rule at the
0.3.5 baseline (3 hits, unchanged).

1028c2579f Miner dev fee: app switch and UI line, HiveOS package, Linux worker cross-build, docs and public text
Decision of 4 October 2026 (evening): the Igneum Miner software takes a visible, switchable 1% dev fee, the norm
for GPU miners; the protocol stays fee-free. The miner side (--dev-fee, the 1-in-100 template counter, the audit
command) is on branch dev-fee of the node fork.

- app: settings.dev_fee (default on) passes --dev-fee 0 to igneum-miner when off; Settings shows the miner's own
"dev fee 1% (1 block in 100) to 0x..." line next to the rewards address with a switch; the engine parses the
miner's start line and its dev-fee block lines (fee_session, lifetime fee_total, an event per fee block)
- packaging/hive: h-manifest.conf, h-config.sh, h-run.sh, h-stats.sh, make-hive-package.sh (igneum-hive-<v>.tar.gz
with the Linux igneumd, igneum-miner and both GPU workers), README with the Flight Sheet, selftest.sh (bash -n,
stub binaries, the three hooks the way Hive runs them, the stats JSON parsed). Hive itself is untested
- infra/cross/build-workers-linux.sh: the NVRTC and OpenCL workers cross-compiled for Linux with zig;
proto-opencl/cl_dynamic.h gains the Linux dlopen branch (libOpenCL.so.1)
- tools/dev-fee/run.mjs: the fee-block test network (two nodes on 29900+, three CPU miners, payouts audit)
- docs/design/miner-dev-fee.md (mechanism, flag, lines, the DEV_FEE_ADDRESS placeholder and the devnet address),
docs/fud-ledger.md E18 and the E5/L9 status line, litepaper "What a miner's hour looks like" paragraph, homepage
  miner section note

83a0c9f033 OTA (Windows): start the update helper with CREATE_NO_WINDOW only; DETACHED_PROCESS killed PowerShell before the script ran
The first Windows update over the air (0.3.3 to 0.3.4) sat on 'the installer is starting' with no helper log on
PC 2. The helper launched by a remote job with the same arguments ran at once. Fix in 0.3.5; the Windows machines

7778dd7cde Miner efficiency sweep: hash per watt per NVIDIA card (lever 3)
src/sweep.rs (new): the cap steps 100% to 50% in 10% steps clamped to the card's limits, per-step rows (mean draw
from nvidia-smi power.draw, mean worker interval rate), the choice (best MH/W, ties to the higher rate then the lower
cap), the nvidia-smi power parser, a state machine on an explicit clock (15 s settle, 60 s hold, 30 s cap readback
limit), the elevated helper scripts (one administrator prompt per sweep: a command file polled by one elevated
process, self-restoring after 20 idle minutes), the unsupported reasons (Apple silicon, AMD). 9 unit tests with
PC 1's recorded RTX 5090 numbers (575 W default, 460 W cap, 290 W draw, memory temperature [N/A]).

Engine: scheduler (once after install, then weekly; one card at a time; only while the card mines, after 120 s
steady, never under a remote job hold, a pause, or inside 600 s of the hour boundary), the cap-mode probe (direct
when the engine runs elevated, else the helper), abort on any fault (card leaves mining, worker error, GPU 90 C,
job, pause, quit) with the cap restored, the chosen cap held and recorded, SWEEP table lines in the app log,
--sweep mode (sweep every supported card, print the table on stdout, leave the caps, quit). Cap floor 50% (was 60).
A readback that matches the asked cap now counts as applied (PC 1 showed "cap NOT applied" for hours at 460 W).

Dashboard: live eff MH/W on each tile, the sweep line (phase, last result, or why unsupported), Sweep now / Stop /
Unpin, "pinned" and "chosen by the sweep" on the cap line, the Settings toggle, the cards-page note, slider min 50.
A cap moved by hand pins the card: the sweep records but does not change it.

PC 1 measurement: relay/playbooks/sweep-5090.ps1 (a run job, elevated, miners stopped; a second engine with --sweep
in a scratch data folder, RESULT SWEEP lines) and docs/plans/miner-eff.md with the publish command. Not published.
Untested on a card.

9f0c9036ea Build job: a PC builds the node and the app engine for Linux and Windows inside WSL2, mining untouched
New job kind `build` (jobs.rs, jobbuild.rs, jobrun.rs run_build): free-space check on both sides (20 GB), the
build-inputs zip by sha256, setup inside the distro as root (mingw-w64 posix, clang for bindgen, protoc, zstd, the
Windows rust target; idempotent), sources extracted with the target dir persisting under /root/igneum-build,
cargo build --release native and for x86_64-pc-windows-gnu, cargo test for the manifest's packages, binaries
zstd-compressed and sent to the relay (fn=upload, Blob PUT, fn=drop; 50 MB each) with sha256 in RESULT lines,
STAGE lines with UTC times, a 40-minute default budget and per-stage caps, the Linux side killed on a cap. The
app's runner stays serial (one Active at a time), so a build never overlaps a shard job; nothing stops the miners.
From this version an unknown job kind is skipped by the app (parse_lenient) instead of rejecting the whole file;
the signer stays strict.

Mac side: packaging/windows/push-build-inputs.sh packs a fork worktree, app/igneum-app, brand/icons and
proto-cuda with a manifest (branch, commit, dirty, builds, tests) and the sha256; publish-jobs.sh add --kind build;
tools/build-job.mjs packs, publishes, watches, fetches, checks both sha256 per file and the PE header of every exe
(plus verify-exe.py on igneum-app.exe), and places the binaries where push-inputs.sh, make-payload.sh and the
cloud-devnet scripts look. relay.mjs drop <file> --body carries the body.

Tested on the Mac: 33 app tests (6 new) and the signer's 21; cargo check for x86_64-pc-windows-gnu; the packer
(7.9 MB zip, no target dirs); the publisher against a scratch folder with the rebuilt signer, the old signer
refusing the kind, a bad job refused at signing; the fetch path against the live relay with a real exe (sha256
and PE pass, a wrong sha256 refused; test items deleted). Not run on a PC: the job itself. docs/plans/build-job.md
has the first job for PC 1 and the rollout order (0.3.4 must be on the PCs before a build job is published).

c924e9d30a Miner app UI: log drawer rebuilt (open state, scroll to newest, time jump, last error and swap, search, copy, drag height, virtualised), every screen on one scale, canvas and polling idle when hidden
Log drawer: the Logs button shows its open state (Close logs, chevron); a Newest button appears when the user scrolls
up and follow re-engages at the end; a time ruler with error and swap marks, an HH:MM:SS jump box, last error and last
swap buttons; substring search with a match count and highlights; copy the lines in view; the height drags from a grip
(140 px to 70% of the window, remembered); a window under 700 px tall opens a 180 px drawer. The list is virtualised
(19 px rows, only the rows in view in the DOM; up to 20,000 lines kept; wrap mode under 5,000 lines). Polling runs only
while the drawer is open and the window is visible.

Screens: one type scale and spacing scale in app.css, tabular figures everywhere, the bottom bar in pieces (machine name
truncates first, address always short, uptime dropped under 1100 px), tile captions carry their full text as a title,
syncing shows an ETA from the measured block rate, the engine-away state names itself on the node tile, short-window
rules, the key sheet scrolls on a short window, compact settings card rows on two lines, only a block that just arrived
flashes (not the whole strip on first paint).

Performance: the minute grid is drawn once into an offscreen layer; the strip redraws twice a second and at the display
rate only during a flash; nothing draws and the state poll drops to every 5 s while document.hidden. ?debug=1 prints a
budget line every 5 s and exposes window.__igneumBench.

tools/ui-mock: a stand-in engine (node tools/ui-mock/server.mjs) replaying recorded, scrubbed API responses with
scenarios (syncing, nodedown, nocards, integrated, clock, paused, biglog, fresh, job, nvidia), so UI work never
touches a running miner.

a601321481 App engine: watchdog per card and per node, WORKER FAULT and mismatched= read from the miner; public GPU bench table and the reliability test harness
Review round 4 X21 and the project lead's levers 5 and 6 (4 October 2026 evening):
- src/watchdog.rs: CardWatch (no status line for 90 s, or hash rate 0 for 60 s while the node is synced: one
restart, then the card is marked faulted with the reason in the UI and the log; the miner's own worker restarts
suspend both rules until ready, so there are no double restarts; exit 43 counts as a watchdog restart) and
NodeWatch (our node silent for 120 s is restarted in-process through the restart kind the remote jobs use, with a
growing delay). State machines with no clock; 11 unit tests replay recorded STATUS and WORKER FAULT lines.
- engine.rs reads STATUS mismatched=, faults= and the WORKER FAULT lines onto the card (faults, mismatched, message);
a faulted card is not restarted until the user changes its settings or resumes mining; other cards keep mining.
- site/miners.html (build.mjs, scrubbed like /bench, rows from site/miner-bench.json): card, generator version, best
MH/s, MH per watt where measured, miner version, date, source, measured by the team or reported by the fleet. In the
navigation beside the engineering log on every page and in the sitemap. One line says there is no other miner to
  compare with.
- tools/reliability: fake-worker.mjs (the serve protocol, misbehaving on command), run.mjs (miner guards on a private
test network, ports 29950+) and app-run.mjs (the app watchdog end to end, ports 29960+).

fe3a3ab701 Fleet learning for the kernel race: the TUNING record, the aggregator, the manifest's tuning object, the PC 1 race job
The engine turns a worker's race line into one TUNING {json} line in the app log (card model as the worker names it,
driver, arch, program class loads and wide loads, every variant's MH/s, winner, gain, the card's power cap and
draw, MH per watt), which the existing intake receives; the card state carries the variant for the dashboard and
one event per race. tools/tuning.mjs aggregates the records from miner_logs per card model (median MH/s or MH per
watt, at least 3 samples, de-duplicated per race) and writes tuning.json; publish-manifest.sh --tuning puts it in
the signed manifest (and now takes --override for consensus.override; both are carried over from the current
manifest when not given, --no-tuning drops it); manifest.rs parses it; ota.rs writes <app data>/tuning.json and
removes it when the manifest drops it; procs::spawn takes an environment and every miner starts with
IGNEUM_TUNING_FILE, which its worker reads at every prepare. Dry run of the publisher against a scratch folder:
tuning and override written, carried over, dropped, signature verified.

docs/plans/miner-perf.md: the signed jobs for PC 1 (fetch the race build of the NVRTC worker, then
relay/playbooks/race-5090.ps1 with the miners stopped: 17 variants, 3 rounds, twice) with the exact publish
commands for the main session; not published by the agent.

e52d74988f Igneum Miner jobs: WSL as root by default, the shipped wsl2\bin prover run fixture by fixture (no cargo, no setup), account context logged at every job start, dashboard note when the app runs elevated or as another account
PC 2 on 0.3.3: 'wsl -d Ubuntu-24.04 -u [user]' from the app fails with getpwnam([user]) and the default user has no
cargo, while the project lead's own session has both in a distro of the same name: WSL distros belong to the Windows account,
and the engine runs under a different context than the interactive session. So the prover path is self-sufficient
inside the Ubuntu the app sees: the wsl-prover probe and the shard-benchmark job run as root (the job's wsl_user or
IGNEUM_APP_WSL_USER first, root second, the distro default last), and the shard job runs the Linux host the
payload ships next to the app (wsl2\bin\igneum-prove-host, cuda feature) directly for each fixture (shard 0 in
shard mode, the blocks in block mode, results under <app data>\prove\igneum-prove-wsl2\results); params.build
= true keeps the package's prove-shard.sh path. Every job logs the account context first (Windows user, SID,
elevated, the signed-in console user, then 'wsl user <id> uid <n> home <h>' and nvidia-smi inside the distro),
the engine logs it once at start, and the dashboard (Settings and the job strip) says 'The app runs as X
(elevated). The signed-in user is Y; WSL and its tools belong to that account.' when they differ.

PC 2 on 0.3.3 logged 'needs wsl-prover' although the toolchain is there as user [user]. Every negative probe now
lands in the engine log with its exit code and the first 200 characters of output (it reaches the intake). The
probe sources ~/.cargo/env and sets ~/.cargo/bin and ~/.sp1/bin itself (a login shell from a console-less process
need not), runs as the job's wsl_user or IGNEUM_APP_WSL_USER first and the distro default user second, and a
payload with wsl2\bin\igneum-prove-host next to the app meets the requirement when the distro answers.
publish-jobs.sh: --requires none or "" publishes an empty list (none was a literal requirement, "" fell back
to the kind's default).

ab7fd9a30a Igneum Miner: clock-skew detection (the node's too-far-in-the-future refusals, the median of local minus block time over the EVM RPC, an HTTPS Date header), warn over 5 s, block Start and hold the miners over 10 s, one-click Sync clock per platform; bench-log entry and the node-change note (a 60 s slow node is silently dead)

3c30c17ab0 Igneum Miner: identity labels and vote keys come from a per-install machine id, never the hostname (two cloned PCs shared COMPUTERNAME and signed with the same keys); hostname is a display label only, editable in settings; upload fields carry the id

d69d70c3fc Windows exes carry the coin icon and a version block (the project lead's rule, 4 Oct 2026)
Every Windows executable now ships with the coin icon Explorer shows and the version block Properties shows
(CompanyName Igneum, ProductName Igneum Miner, FileDescription per exe, 0.3.0, LegalCopyright Igneum contributors),
like the Mac app and DMG already do.

- igneumd.exe, igneum-miner.exe: packaging/windows/embed-resources.sh now takes the worktree and target dir
(defaults vendor/igneum-node-v4 and vendor/igneum-node/target-integration) and relinks with a linker shim first in
PATH instead of `cargo rustc -- -C link-arg`: cargo rustc takes one package and unifies features differently from
  the two-package cross-build (300 crates differ), and a configured linker is fingerprinted and rebuilds everything;
the PATH shim changes neither. .rc files moved to 0.3.0.
- igneum-worker-cuda.exe, igneum-worker-opencl.exe: proto-cuda/nvrtc/build-windows.sh compiles the two new .rc
files with windres and links the objects; the icon is made with make-icons.py if missing.
- igneum-app.exe: app/igneum-app/build.rs runs windres on resources/igneum-app.rc for Windows targets and links it
(cargo:rustc-link-arg-bins, no crate dependency); it fails the build if the .rc version drifts from Cargo.toml.
- packaging/windows/resources/verify-exe.py: small PE parser that checks the .rsrc section, icon group and version
strings on the Mac; both build scripts call it, and it checks every exe inside the packages.
- proto-opencl/cl_dynamic.h: clGetEventInfo added to the run-time loader table (4714b51 added the call in host.c
without it, so the one-click OpenCL worker no longer linked under IGNEUM_CL_DYNAMIC).

7717c4fdac Windows CI: the one-click app built on GitHub runners, no PC needed
windows.yml: parse job (every .ps1 through the Windows PowerShell 5.1 parser with a negative fixture, PSScriptAnalyzer
as warnings, parenthesis check of every .bat/.cmd with a negative fixture), build job (engine on the MSVC target,
window host through BUILD-APP.bat as it is, payload through make-payload.sh in Git Bash, installer through
build-installer.ps1, smoke run of both exes, launcher DRY_RUN, three artifacts for 90 days).
push-inputs.sh publishes payload-inputs.zip (node, miner, workers, NVRTC DLLs) to the downloads host from the Mac;
fetch-ci-artifacts.sh pulls the green run's installer and payload back into the downloads folder.
Host: --version and --help, version.h shared with host.rc. Launcher: DRY_RUN=1 prints the plan and starts nothing.
